STARTERS - consulting

You want to increase your knowledge of the target groups and their needs, but you don't know: where to start, what options there are, which resources are needed, or how you can integrate market research strategically and continuously into your processes.

Listen to understand:

I visit your company personally to understand your needs: what you are interested in; what you already know and what you still want to learn; who your target groups are (or at least who you think they are) and what you want to learn about them; how well your products sell; and how successful your marketing campaigns have been.

 

Strategy recommendation

Based on our discussion, I provide recommendations for your market research strategy: the areas to be prioritized; the information to be collected; the corresponding methods to be used; and the time frame and costs to be expected. 

Planning and calculation

On the basis of my recommendations, we decide together with which project(s) we want to start. I design the surveys or workshops, find suitable partners if necessary and develop a concrete proposal for you

 

Implementation
Finally, I implement the first market research project(s).

Aggregation of existing knowledge

It doesn't always have to be primary market research.

Let`s make use of existing knowledge.

 

  • My work as an in-house market researcher at EGGER Holzwerkstoffe has shown me that there is a vast amount of knowledge available within a company.

  • However, this organizational knowledge is located in different sources. It is dispersed in the experiences of the employees, embedded in the clients’ data (e.g. in CRM), and stored in existing surveys that are kept in silos. This knowledge is therefore often not analysed and accessed as a whole. 

 

  • Yet by combining structured interviews with the marketing, sales team or product managers with reviewing existing surveys or running CRM analysis, these different types of organizational knowledge can be bundled and made available to various stakeholders within the company.

 

  • This information can also be used as the basis for furthering market research strategies since it shows the areas where there is a need for external knowledge, or where there are divergent views or hypotheses to be examined.

 

  • I will personally implement this methodology by conducting structured one-on-one interviews and workshops, as well as analyzing your existing surveys and data.

  • There is a vast amount of knowledge available within the workforce of a company; however, this organizational knowledge has to be collected and analyzed in a structured manner in order to be useful for market development (see also above aggregation of existing knowledge )

 

  • Furthermore, surveys often provide results for deeper thinking. Often, outcomes also have to be converted into operational or strategic goals.

 

  • For these purposes, I offer the moderation of in-house workshops. Contents and methods are designed individually according to the types of knowledge that is needed.

 

  • I offer workshops based on methods specifically designed for the following areas:

DIY market research

Low-threshold, inexpensive and independent.

 

  • There are various programs on the market that allow online surveys to be carried out easily and inexpensively.

 

  • Such tools can be used, for example, to survey your existing clients or get feedback from website visitors using pop-up surveys.

 

  • These platforms can be used to do one-time surveys (e.g. customer satisfaction studies) or recurring short surveys on currently relevant topics. Furthermore, they also allow for the set up of automated feedback surveys as part of the customer journey.

 

  • Those platforms are called 'DIY market research tools' because you can create surveys by yourself in a very user-friendly way. Some platforms also offer easy access to standard quantitative analysis, eliminating the need for specialised statistical programs or statisticians.

 

  • However to ask relevant questions in the right way and to professionally analyse the data collected, the expertise of a market researcher is required.
